Shane served in the US Army for 25 Years. Upon retirement in 2017 he took some time to focus on family, self discovery, and healing.  In 2020 he set out to get a service dog to further improve his quality of life. Although there were programs available to veterans, none of them met his needs. One day, after much frustration with the service dog program search, he ran into Tom Israel from Track Of The Dog LLC. Tom worked with Shane and TJ (from 10 weeks old) until he was finally able to graduate as an official service dog. Shane enjoyed the training activities and Tom saw so much potential while training his service dog that he took him under his wing at Track Of The Dog LLC. First, as an apprentice, then as a journeyman trainer and behaviorist. Shane still enjoys his friendship with Tom and joins him from time to time and assists with his training. 

 

Shane's background with the military gives him a unique perspective in helping others. He has been married for 26 years and has two children and two beautiful grandchildren. Family (both human and canine) is everything to Shane.

 

Shane will strive to guide your pack into greatness. Shane has a very unique and playful training method that will help you bond and enjoy your time with your K9. Shane has been training and helping with behavior issues for all kinds of K9 owners to include those who have been showing, breeding, and training dogs professionally for 20 years.
